We operate two twin 2,000 HP units, one 800 HP acid pump truck, five 500 HP treating trucks and six acid transports, up from only five acid transports in 2007 when we entered the market.
- Matrix Acidizing. Acid is pumped down hole and into the existing pore system, to dissolve sediments and drilling mud that inhibit permeability. The acid etches the created fracture network to enlarge the reservoir’s natural pores and is done at low pressure to preserve the existing fracture network created by hydraulic fracturing.
- Fracture Acidizing. Acid is pumped into the well at high pressure, which simultaneously fractures the reservoir rock improving permeability and then dissolves permeability inhibitive sediments etching the created fracture network with acid.
RSI also custom blends chemical additives required for any acid job (retarders, foamers, non-emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, friction reducers, fluid loss additives, surfactants, etc.) and delivers them to the work site.
